2010 FRANK VALE AWARD WINNER

Mr Matthew Lishman, Trainee Supervisor for Austco Polar Cold Storage, Victoria is the proud winner of the 2010 Frank Vale Award.
Matthew was selected by a national judging panel at the 2010 RWTA National Conference and Exhibition recently held at Crown Conference Centre Melbourne and the announcement was made at the Conference Gala Dinner, attended by 185 delegates, their partners and guests.
Matthew is pictured above, second from the right, with fellow state finalists, from the left, Graham Baker (Warehouse Supervisor, Swire Cold Storage, WA), Matthew Mungall (Senior Service Technician, Oomiak Pty Ltd, SA) and John Fennell (Operations Supervisor, Swire Cold Storage, NSW).
Retracom Group were, once again, the generous sponsor of a $5,000 travel prize for this year's Frank Vale Award winner and will continue to sponsor this prize for the foreseeable future. This prize will enable Matthew to attend the 2011 Global Cold Chain Alliance Convention and Expo to be held next April in New Orleans, Louisiana USA.
Matthew will become our fourth winner to have the fabulous opportunity of meeting key cold chain executives from throughout the world at the GCCA Convention and the privilege of presenting to them at the Leadership Dinner.
All state finalists for the 2010 Frank Vale Award, and their partners, were guests of the RWTA for the entire 2010 National Conference and Exhibition, with all expenses covered. They were given the opportunity to do a short presentation to the delegates before meeting with the national judging panel.
Each state finalist will now be invited to join their respective State Committee to further their experience and opportunities to grow in the industry.
The general consensus was that each finalist made a very impressive presentation and demonstrated a high degree of leadership skills and professionalism. Each would have been a worthy national winner, making the task for the national judging panel a tough one.
Our warmest congratulations go to Matthew Lishman as the winner of the 2010 Frank Vale Award.
