Foodbank Qld is facing critical need and we need your help.

This is a photo of the Foodbank Qld warehouse today. Sadly, the shelves are alarmingly bare.

Queensland’s largest hunger-relief charity, Foodbank Qld, has faced many challenges related to COVID-19 this year. We’ve seen our volunteer workforce diminish and watched the 250 food-relief charities we serve face many challenges safely providing food to those in need.

Overall, we have faced uncertainty in regards to the food we are able to bring in and supply to food-relief charities across the state. This is due to panic buying at a retail level, major food donors facing operating challenges, and demand for Foodbank growing exponentially all at once.

Foodbank Qld is facing critical need and we need your help. We are seeking financial support to provide the most food to the most Queenslanders in need in the most efficient ways through our bulk purchasing programs. If you work for a corporate entity in a position to help, either through joining Foodbank Qld’s corporate partnership program or starting a workplace giving project, please contact kim@foodbankqld.org.au.

Together, we can make a difference to the lives of Queenslanders facing hunger across our sunshine state.
